The main function of the Kupiškis District Municipal Culture Center is the organization of Kupiškis leisure activities, dissemination of professional art and culture, preservation and nurturing of ethnocultural heritage, diversity of the offer of amateur art groups, realization of their artistic level and mastery criteria. Folklore, choreography, theater and music groups are active in Kupiškis Culture Center, its departments and leisure halls. Creative workers carry out non-formal education programs for children, are constantly looking for new funding streams through various cultural support funds, programs published by the European Union, and other projects.
The cultural center, located in the beautiful Kupa river valley (address Gedimino St. 40, Kupiškis), was opened in 1983.
